Regulator Wants More Info From Pierre’s Selected Air Carrier
PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — A federal regulator has told an air carrier selected by Pierre officials to provide subsidized commercial service that she wants more proof that its recently replaced CEO is not still connected with the carrier.
The Department of Transportation announced in January that it planned to deny the application of Aerodynamics Inc. to serve Pierre. The agency said its decision came in light of legal and financial issues surrounding then-CEO Scott Beale.
Aerodynamics earlier this month told federal regulators that Beale had been replaced. The Capital Journal reports ( ) that federal Transportation Department official Lauralyn Remo has asked the air carrier for proof that Beale has no remaining official or unofficial links to Aerodynamics.
New CEO Darrell Richardson says Aerodynamics is gathering the requested information.
