Rounds Team Moves Into State Headquarters Office In Pierre

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — South Dakota’s newest U.S. Senator is setting up his main field office in Pierre.

KCCR-AM ( ) reports that Sen. Mike Rounds and his staff are moving into the Hyde Building in South Dakota’s capital city.

Among other tenants in the Hyde Building is the federal public defender’s office.

Since being elected in November, Rounds’ staff has been in an old real estate building near the state capitol, which was also his campaign headquarters.

The news station reports that Rounds will make an official announcement when the office is up and running. Because Rounds lives in Fort Pierre, the field office will also likely serve as his state headquarters.
