Truck Stolen From Sioux Falls Business Found Empty

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Authorities have recovered a truck stolen from a Sioux Falls furniture business over the weekend.

Sam Clemens of the Sioux Falls Police Department tells the Argus Leader ( ) the truck was found empty Monday morning. The owner of Spencer Furniture & Floors called police after she arrived at the business and noticed the truck and merchandise were missing.

The police spokesman says the thieves broke into the furniture store after cutting a hole in its garage door. He says they went through files and paperwork, and eventually made off with more than $10,000 worth of merchandise.

Clemens says four mattresses, a love seat, a chest, a nightstand, four rugs and a coffee table are among the items stolen from the store.
