Part Of I-90 In Central SD To Be Temporarily Closed Tuesday

KENNEBEC, S.D. (AP) — A portion of Interstate 90 in central South Dakota will be temporarily closed Tuesday.

The state’s Department of Transportation says I-90 at Exit 235 in Kennebec will be closed as crews from West Central Electric Company will be replacing overhead lines that cross the interstate. The closure is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. CDT and last about half hour.

Westbound traffic will be detoured off the interstate at Exit 235, Kennebec, and eastbound traffic will be diverted off I-90 at Exit 226, Presho.

Transportation officials say message boards on the interstate will warn travelers about the closure.
