USD To Debut Mobile-friendly Website This Month

VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) — The University of South Dakota will be launching a new website this month after nearly three years of efforts to make the site mobile-friendly.

The existing site is not compatible with mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones.

Tena Heraldson is the school’s marketing and university relations director. She says the new website will be easier to navigate and will include more visuals, larger photos and less text.

Some students are still shooting video and photos as well as writing copy that will appear on the new site to highlight student life.

The student website that is used for grades and class materials will not change.
