Sioux Falls Police Taking Applications For 8 Openings

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — The Sioux Falls Police Department is hiring.

Spokesman Sam Clemens says the department is looking to add eight officers to the force in October. Interested applicants have until May 4 to submit an application.

Clemens says candidates must have a high school diploma as well as some college or previous experience in law enforcement.

He says the eight individuals will fill positions that will open up because of retirements. Applicants will have to complete a written civil service exam, psychological and medical exams, a background check and a polygraph test.
