Police Investigating Rapid City Convenience Store Robbery

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) — Police in Rapid City are investigating an early morning convenience store robbery.

Officers responded to the store on North Lacrosse Street about 4:15 a.m. Saturday after a call from an employee.

The employee reported that a man displaying a handgun entered the business, approached the cash register counter and asked for cash. The suspect was seen leaving the store wearing a hooded sweat shirt, black or dark blue sweat pants and a grey stocking cap.

The incident remains under investigation.
