Yankton County Voters Reject Tax Increase For Roads, Bridges

YANKTON, S.D. (AP) — Voters in Yankton County have resoundingly defeated a proposed property tax increase to help fund road and bridge repairs.

The Yankton Daily Press and Dakotan reports ( ) that preliminary results from Tuesday’s election show 70 percent of the 3,427 voters opposed the measure.
