Two teams announce run for SGA office
Two teams announced their plans to run for executive positions during the Student Government Association meeting Tuesday night.
Senators Cameron Frentress and Anna Madsen were the first to declare candidacy. Frentress and Madsen are running for president and vice president, respectively.
Senators Nathaniel Steinlicht and Michelle Novak also announced their plans to run Tuesday night. Steinlicht is running for president and Novak is running for vice president.
“It’s been a work in progress,” Steinlicht said. “We’re really looking forward to the election process.”
Steinlicht added their campaign will focus on three C’s: campus, community and communication.
“Inside and outside of SGA,” Novak added.
Frentress and Madsen said they’re also looking forward to the election process.
Madsen believes it will “foster good competition.”
Frentress said the primary focuses of their campaign are campus safety and the overall student experience.
“We want SGA to work for students,” he said.
Voting for next term’s candidates will take place March 1 and 2.
