Tonight was also the dedication of the SCSC. Following the second set Athletic Director David Herbster, USD President James Abbott and Executive Vice President of Sanford Sioux Falls Paul Hanson spoke to the crowd and donors. It was Abbott’s words to the fans that relayed how important the partnership between Sanford and USD was to getting the SCSC built:
“We can’t thank Sanford enough for everything they have done for USD and for making this great building yours,” Abbott said.
