Students work to keep Farber statue shiny
The bronze smile of William O. “Doc” Farber looked especially bright on Friday afternoon as a group of USD students scrubbed and waxed the statue.
Junior criminal justice major Teagan McNary and senior criminal justice majors Shelby Rice and Gage Pleuger spent part of the afternoon washing the statue and applying a coat of wax to it as a fundraiser for USD’s Criminal Justice Club.
The club is given $250 once a semester by the departments of political science, criminal justice and international studies to polish the statue, McNary said.
