Ali Boysen: What made you want to transfer to USD?
Taylor Wilson: I wanted an atmosphere that cared about their players not only as athletes but created a relationship with them. I think this program really had that.

And my coaches had left Stony Brook so I was ready to get out of there. I also wanted to go to a competitive conference and the Summit League is a really good conference that is really competitive.
AB: What do you love most about volleyball?
TW: I love how you have to be competitive every second of the game. I think we saw in the game against Oral Roberts that you have to be competitive the entire game, it doesn’t matter if you’re two points ahead, if you don’t stay competitive you might not come out on top. I’m very competitive when it comes to volleyball.
AB: What are you looking forward to now since regular season is over?
TW: I think I’m looking forward to having a spring season, because my sophomore spring season I was injured and after I transferred I had to sit out, so I didn’t have a (junior) spring season.
