Player of the Pack: Jack Coker

Jack Coker is a sophomore business major from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a defensive lineman on the football team and a thrower on the track & field team.

Austin Lammers: Which uniform combination is your favorite?

Jack Coker: I think the all-white uniforms look really cool and I like the feel of them.

AL: Do you have any sack celebrations saved?

JC: I do, but coach would not be pleased if I brought any of them out. One of my favorites is the smokin’ gun: blow out the six-shooters and put them back in the holsters.

AL: Could Austin Simmons throw a shot-put farther than you?

JC: Ooh. Not a chance.

AL: Did you do anything special during your one day break between track and football workouts?

JC: Umm. I did not.

AL: If Bob Nielson wasn’t a football coach, what do you think he would be?

JC: I don’t know what else he could be. He’s a football coach as far as it goes. He’s a great leader so maybe he could run a big company, but he did everything over again he’d still be a football coach.
