“Euphoria:” The 410

I don’t know if it’s just in my circle of friends, but “Euphoria” seems to be taking the world by storm. From Instagram to Twitter, people are posting their opinions on the show and its infamous characters.

Now I’m not a big fan of social media so I am going to get into some of my controversial opinions on here. This is just for fun and there will be spoilers.

I started watching the show this year because my friends made me and I was shocked at the accuracy of some of the scenes and the incredible acting of the cast.

Zendaya has been putting her heart and soul into Rue’s character and it’s apparent. Her character deals with drug addiction and we have watched her fail to stay clean repeatedly. Honestly, as heartbreaking as her character can be, she is one of my favorite characters.

Rue, Fezco and Maddie are my top three characters at the moment. They have the perfect combination of humor and don’t care what other people think.

On the opposite spectrum, Nate and Cassie are easily two of my least favorite characters. Nate’s actions for the majority of the show are despicable and cruel: blackmailing Jules, pulling a gun on Maddie and snitching on Fezco. He has twisted morals to whatever he deems right.

Cassie on the other hand, is a train wreck. Last season her character had morals and now she has thrown them out the window. Her character’s trauma simply does not excuse her actions in my opinion.

The show is so complex and they seem to make every detail and every second on screen matter. They have me excited every time Sunday rolls around to watch a new episode with my friends.

Whether you like the show or not, nobody can deny how cool it is to see a TV show bring so many people together.
