Senate Resolution Voted Unanimously as an Emergency Resolution
The weekly SGA meeting began with student organization reports where club representatives reported their progress within the semester. Some of these clubs include the College Republicans, Pre-PA Club and the Medical Laboratory Science Club.
The first reading for the Senate Resolution #01 commenced shortly after. This resolution would encourage Sodexo to increase the dining hours to celebrate Ramadan and introduce Halal food accommodations to campus dining. This was brought to the attention of SGA by a Coyote News story. Senator Carter Linke expressed a concern for international students who have to travel to Sioux Falls for food. He said that many international students struggle to find passage to get these foods. The vote was unanimous and was sent as an emergency resolution.
The next meeting will be at Al Neuharth Media Center in the Freedom Forum at 6:30 p.m. on April 11.
