Huron Public Library To Host Drone Video Contest For Teens
PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — Teens who compete in a drone video contest at the Huron Public Library are in the running for their own flying drone as a grand prize.
The contest opens on Monday as part of Teen Tech Week, which thousands and of libraries and schools are expected to celebrate nationwide.
Huron Public Library Teen Librarian Mary Olson says that getting teens into libraries is key to improving digital literacy. She says she wants a wide variety of teens to participate in the festivities.
The theme for 90-second video entries into the drone video contest is: “It happened on the way to the library.” The library will provide contestants with a drone to use for the video.
