Donations Still Needed For Those Affected By Delmont Tornado
DELMONT, S.D. (AP) — The people in Delmont affected by Sunday’s tornado are still in need of donations.
The Donations Management Center says tornado victims still need non-perishable food and snacks, household cleaners, personal care items and equipment to help with debris cleanup.
Donated items can be taken to the Donations Management Center at the Delmont American Legion. For financial donations, a fund has been established at First State Bank locations in Delmont, Tripp, Geddes and Armour.
Those wishing to donate new appliances need to coordinate through the Volunteer Reception Center in Delmont.
The Sunday tornado injured nine people and damaged or destroyed at least 84 structures in and around the town.
