S. Senate candidate Clayton Walker for failing to appear at a hearing.
The Black Hawk man faces trial beginning Monday for alleged election law violations. A judge earlier this month issued a warrant for his arrest when he failed to appear in court.
Attorney General Marty Jackley says Walker was arrested in Rapid City on July 9, and a grand jury indicted him Tuesday.
Walker faces felony charges for submitting nominating petitions that investigators allege included names of dead people, fictitious people and Hollywood celebrities. He ran as an independent last year but failed to make the November ballot.
It wasn’t immediately clear if Walker has an attorney. A home phone number for him could not be found.
