Assault Warrant Issued For Suspect In Wagner Shooting

WAGNER, S.D. (AP) — Authorities have issued an arrest warrant for a man accused of shooting another man in Wagner earlier this month.

The Daily Republic newspaper reports ( ) that 23-year-old Joseph Bruguier is wanted on an aggravated assault charge. He’s accused of shooting 22-year-old Donovan Patterson in a July 1 altercation on Wagner’s Main Street that involved about half a dozen people.

Patterson was shot in the abdomen but was expected to recover.

The Charles Mix County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information from the public on Bruguier’s whereabouts.
