New 4-H State Fair Building Under Construction In Huron
HURON, S.D. (AP) — Construction has started on a brand new home for the state’s 4-H participants at the South Dakota State Fairgrounds in Huron.
The Department of Agriculture announced Wednesday that work has begun on the Nordby Exhibit Hall for 4-H, Youth and Community.
The 48,000-square-foot hall will feature multiple classrooms, a large kitchen for 4-H special food competitions and a performance stage.
The hall is being named after Huron philanthropist Earl Nordby, who made his money in the soft-drink bottling industry.
The old Clover Hall that was built in the 1950s was demolished to make way for the new building.
