The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Department says Custer State Park will host one-mile guided night hikes on Friday and Saturday. The hikes will be along a path lit only by jack-o-lanterns.
Good Earth State Park near Sioux Falls will host a hike and dog costume contest on Saturday. Dogs must be on a leash, and prizes will be awarded for the best costume.

Costumes are encouraged for the hikes but not required. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
