VERMILLION POLICE LOG: October 10

Oct. 3

1. Officer on bike patrol encountered an 18-year-old Vermillion male with an open container at the 300 block of N. Dakota St. Male was cited for underage consumption of alcohol.

Oct. 4

2. A 20-year-old Vermillion male was arrested for trespassing at the Charcoal Lounge on the 10 block of E. Main. Offender was also cited with underage consumption of alcohol.

Oct. 5

3. The South Dakota Department of Criminal Investigation and VPD conducted a search at a residence at the 200 block of E. National St. Officers arrested and charged a Sioux Falls male for ingestion and possession of marijuana. Police also confiscated 5 oz. of marijuana.

Oct. 6

4. Report of a burglary at a residence at the 800 block of E. Duke St. Prescription narcotics were among the items stolen. Investigation is still ongoing.

5. VPD fielded a report of damaged property from a gas station along the 900 block of W. Main St. The exterior walls were spray painted. Case is an ongoing investigation.

Oct. 7

6. A patrolling officer found a 36-year-old Vermillion male lying in the street at the intersection of Center and E. Main St. The male was transported to the hospital.
