VERMILLION POLICE LOG: November 14

Nov. 7

1. A resident of a rental house at the 200 block of N. University St. reported an act of vandalism. Someone had broken a window to the door of the house, providing access to door locks. Resident believed a break-in might have occurred, though no items were known to be missing. Police found no evidence of any further action other than the damage to the window.

Nov. 8

2. Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a residence near the 400 block of Carr St. They found no evidence of an altercation but through investigation VPD identified an involved party as a wanted person. A 23-year-old Vermillion female was taken into custody for an

outstanding warrant.

Nov. 10

3. Through a routine traffic observation, officers identified a potentially-intoxicated driver near the 100 block of E. Duke St. Police stopped the woman and administered a sobriety test to a 37-year-old female. After failing the test, the female was charged with DWI-2nd offense and taken into custody.

4. Paul’s Plumbing reported a theft from a worksite at the 10 block of Cottage Place. Approximately 67 feet of copper tubing was stolen. The tubing is valued at $6 per foot. Police have not identified suspects for the theft.
