Jan. 20
1. A dispute between two males at the Pub ended in a physical altercation at the 10 block of West Main Street. The incident involved a 22-year-old male and a 27-year-old male. Potential charges are pending as the case is still under the investigation.
Jan. 25
2. Police investigated a report of illegal vehicle entry at the 700 block of East Clark Street. The owner of a Ford Taurus went out to the vehicle and found the contents of the glove box and center console rummaged through. No items were known to be missing. The vehicle had been left unlocked. Police have no suspects for this incident.
Jan. 26
3. After investigating a report of a potential assault, police officers unearthed a case of identity fraud. Officers arrested a 35-year-old Vermillion female at the 10 block of East Main. The suspect was charged with identity theft.
Jan. 28
4. VPD received a report of a male student being overly aggressive while playing basketball at the University Wellness Centerl. Officers spoke with subject about his behavior and found no proof of harm or malicious intent. Male continued playing basketball afterwards without incident.
