Proposed Sioux Falls solar farm worries neighbors

A solar farm is proposed to be placed outside of Sioux Falls at the cost of $25 million, according to Keloland News. This was brought forth because of the growing need for electricity in Sioux Falls.

Neighbors said they are going to appeal the decision because of concerns with the effect it will have on the area’s appearance.

Steve Wegman, South Dakota Renewable Energy Association analyst, said it’s odd to see a project like this proposed in South Dakota. There are no incentives offered for similar projects in neighboring states.
