Daugaard Appoints Former Democratic Lawmaker To State Board
PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — Gov. Dennis Daugaard has appointed a former Democratic state legislator to the Board of Economic Development.
Tom Jones, of Viborg, formerly represented District 17 in both the House and Senate.
Daugaard says Jones previously sat on the board as a legislative, ex-officio member.
The 13 member on the board serve four-year terms. Jones is taking the position formerly held by Rob Skjonsberg, who recently resigned. His term ends in April 2016.
