NK: If you could change something about yourself or your life, what would you change?
KS: In the past caring so much what people think about me. I kind of outgrew that, but I wish I would have learned that a little bit sooner.
NK: How did that affect you when you were younger?
KS: It prevents you from doing a lot of different things. You care more about what, like in high school definitely, what your friends think and then in college you meet totally new people. It’s different, it’s awesome.
NK: What have you felt like since you’ve come to college?
KS: I’ve definitely met people who are more free-spirited and not judgmental and more interested in the same things as I am. I studied abroad last summer in Ireland.
NK: What would you tell yourself now if you could go back?
KS: I would tell myself not to worry so much about what’s coming up. I had a really hard time picking a college, because I didn’t know what I wanted to do, but it all works out.
NK: What were the people like in Ireland?
KS: They’re really friendly like Midwesterners. They are so laid back, they don’t care about things down to the minute like we do. They just go with it, they don’t care at all. They just do their thing and they’re all about having fun.
