Panel Named To Help Review Candidates For Regents Leader

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) — The South Dakota Board of Regents has appointed a constituent panel to help review candidates for the position of executive director and CEO.

Jack R. Warner is retiring from the job at the end of the year, after six years of leading the system. The board is working with a search firm to identify candidates for his successor.

The constituent panel has nearly two dozen members. Board President Randy Schaefer says they reflect constituent groups that work with and within the public university system.

Schaefer says the search for a new leader will be completed by early summer.
