SD Man Sentenced For Failing To Register As Sex Offender

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — A South Dakota man has been sentenced to prison for failing to register as a sex offender.

Federal authorities say that 28-year-old Wylie Wind, of Fort Thompson, failed to update his sex offender registration between Dec, 15 and Feb. 6. Wind was required to register and update his address due to a prior federal conviction.

U.S. District Judge Roberto A. Lange sentenced Wind to 18 months in prison, to be followed by five years of supervised release.
