A body found floating in the Vermillion River Sunday has been identified as 31-year-old Evan Stajduhar.
Vermillion Police have been searching for Stajduhar since Sept. 17, who was missing “under suspicious circumstances.”
The cause of death is drowning/suicide according to police chief Matt Betzen. No foul play is suspected, police said.
The body was recovered on the river just south of Vermillion by the city’s police and fire departments and the Clay County Sheriff.
Authorities conducted an autopsy Monday on Stajduhar.
