Coyotes upset NDSU with 24-21 victory
North Dakota State Univeristy’s 26-game home win streak came to an end Saturday at the hands of an unlikely opponent.
South Dakota kicker Miles Bergner nailed a 33-yard field goal as time expired in a stunned-silent Fargodome and USD ended its own streak in the biggest win of Joe Glenn’s coaching tenure with a 24-21 victory over the four-time defending FCS champions.
The Coyotes (3-3, 1-2 Missouri Valley) gained more yards and won the time of possession on their way to snapping their 14-game losing streak to conference opponents.
USD quarterback Ryan Saeger finished 12-20 passing with two touchdowns. He also ran for 92 yards and another score.
