Volleyball wins 3-1 against SDSU
The volleyball team started off rivalry week with a 3-1 home victory over South Dakota State on Sunday evening.
The Coyotes stomped the Jackrabbits in set one 25-19, lost set two 18-25, and then came back to finish out the game strong with a 25-16 victory in the third set and a 25-13 win in the fourth set.
First-year outside hitter Hayley Dotseth led the Coyotes on offense with 13 kills and sophomore setter Brittany Jessen had a match-high of 45 assists.
On defense, Dotseth led the team as well with 17 digs followed by junior outside hitter Audrey Reeg with 14 digs. In total the Coyotes had 11 team blocks.
Sunday’s game improved USD to 13-14 overall for the season and ends the Coyotes’ regular season at home. They’ll take on IUPUI in Indianapolis at 6 p.m. on Friday.
