March for Women in Vermillion set after inauguration
Participants of the ‘Vermillion March for Women’ are planning to march along Main Street on Jan. 21, one day after President-Elect Donald Trump will be sworn into office. Similar events are scheduled in cities across the country, from Sioux Falls to Washington, D.C.
A press release for the event states that the march is a way for local residents to stand in solidarity with the Women’s March on Washington, D.C.
The group plans to meet at the United Church of Christ and march to the courthouse starting from the corner of Main Street and Dakota Avenue at 1 p.m. Marchers will then reconvene in the church’s basement for coffee and discussion.
