Player of the Pack: Habiba Aly
Habiba Aly is a junior tennis player from Cairo, Egypt majoring in Media & Journalism and Strategic Communications.
Austin Lammers: What do you think of your first day of classes?
Habiba Aly: It’s going to be tough, but it’s better than last year because I’m prepared.
AL: What made you choose USD?
HA: It’s a good school, plus I chose to be near my brother in Nebraska, so that’s a privilege. The tennis coach is super nice as well.
AL: How do you prepare for tennis in the Fall?
HA: The full semester we go to tournaments and play other teams, so we get ready for the spring.
AL: What do you think of South Dakota compared to Egypt?
HA: South Dakota is nice and calm, but it’s super cold compared to Egypt. It was my first time seeing snow and I was amazed in the beginning, but then… no.
