Coyote women’s basketball pink jersey auction takes place this week
USD’s athletic department is auctioning off five pink jerseys with proceeds going to the Dakota Hospital Foundation this week.
The pink jersey auction runs in conjunction with USD’s annual Pink Game which is scheduled for Sunday at noon as the Coyotes take on Oral Roberts in the Sanford Coyote Sports Center. The Coyotes sport pink jerseys and warm-ups for breast cancer awareness.
The five jersey numbers being auctioned off correlate with the five USD seniors. The jersey numbers are 1, 2, 11, 22 and 34.
The Dakota Hospital Foundation in Vermillion helps in supporting community health and wellness. The bids started at $75 and the bidding increases are required to be of $10 or more. Fans also must create an account in order to place a bid.
The winners of the auctions will be announced at halftime of the game Sunday afternoon. Bidding closes at 12:30 p.m. Sunday. The Coyote women are in action Sunday at noon against Oral Roberts in the SCSC.
