Your health away from home
There is nothing worse than being sick at school. You are away from your mom who takes care of you, and if need be, takes you to the doctor to get medicine.
Unfortunately, your mom is not on the list of things to bring to college, but I have some good news: Although you are considered a grown up, complete with life responsibilities, the Sanford Student Health makes it easy and efficient for students to get an appointment and see the doctor as soon as possible.
With the center located just three blocks from campus, Sanford Student Health Services offers an array of help for free or a reduced rates. Being a student will get you a free appointment, but if more testing is needed the price isn’t as high as your tuition.
Another perk to the student health is that if you are concerned about something maybe not as serious as pneumonia, something like pink eye or maybe a bad cough, Sanford Health has now come up with eVisits. All students need to do is fill out a questionnaire and submit it to their doctor and there should be an answer within 24 hours.
To make an appointment you must call (605) 624-9111. The clinic is open Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m.-8 p.m. and Saturday 8:30-11:30 a.m. Students must have their student ID with them.
