How to have fun during Dakota Days
There are many healthy alternatives to drinking that can be done individually or in a group on the weekends in college, and especially during Dakota Days.
Dakota Days is the homecoming, or spirit week, of the University of South Dakota. D-Days is a big week and a bigger weekend for binge drinking, which causes severe liver damage and other injuries. Alternatives to drinking include:
1. Ping Pong
2. Pool
3. Netflix
4. Go out to eat
5. Walk or ride a bike through Prentis Park
6. Make a meal in the dorm kitchens with friends or floor mates
7. Order a pizza
8. Visit Spirit Mound
9. Adventure to the river
10. Ride bikes in Walmart
11. Bowling
12. Paintball

15. People watch on the dorm steps — bring a bag of popcorn
16. Go to a restaurant downtown
17. Take ridiculous selfies with friends
18. Read The Volante
19. Watch old movies and make popcorn
20. Dress up in black-tie attire and go to McDonalds
