Students decorate dorm doors for Halloween, contest
Many first-year and sophomore students in North Complex have gotten into the Halloween spirit by covering their doors with spook-tacular decorations.
Most of them do it for the love of the holiday, however, on the first floor of Mickelson Hall, Community Adviser Steph Harris has made the decorating activities into a fun contest. The winner will receive a $25 gift card.
First-year students Justine Cvach and Tia Adamson have their door decorated with headstones for each football team the Coyotes play.
“We had the whole door covered, but there’s a rule against that so we completely re-did the door,” Adamson said.
A few doors down, first-year students Alexandra Foxhoven and Ayshanti Canton decorated their door like a mummy.
“I really only decorated because I love Halloween,” Canton said. “But the prize is definitely a bonus.”
