People of the Pack: Tracy Prins

Katie McGuire: What is your major?

Tracy Prins: I’m a nursing major with a minor in disaster response.

KM: What year are you?

TP: I’m a sophomore.

KM: Why did you come to USD?

TP: It’s only two hours from home. Most of my family went to state so it made me sort of the black sheep, and I kind of liked that. Also USD has a medical program so I knew I had lost of options.

KM: What do you want to do with a nursing degree?

TP: I’d like to work in the trauma ward, but I haven’t decided where yet.

KM: What do you like most about USD?

TP: I like how friendly and safe it is. I don’t have to worry about leaving my stuff for a couple of minutes to grab a coffee.

KM: What are you involved in on campus?

TP: Alpha Phi, I’m a Dakotathon dancer, a Strollers dancer and I’m a Panhellenic delegate.
