Unite for USD hosts fundraiser pre-party

Tuesday night, the USD Foundation hosted a Unite for USD pre-party at Fernson Brewing Company in Sioux Falls. 

The event took place 5-7 p.m. and saw students, faculty and donors congregate in preparation for the foundation’s annual fundraiser. 

“I think donors will really benefit from getting to meet some of the students and some of the people from the foundation… to know where their money is being donated,” Nathan Popp, president of Charlie’s Cupboard and student representative for Unite for USD, said. 

Last year, Popp said Unite for USD raised around $25,000 by 417 individual donors for Charlie’s Cupboard—the student initiative for 2021, as well as for 2022—a record which Popp is hoping will be broken this year. 

The 2022 Unite for USD campaign begins Wednesday, Feb. 16 at 10:58 a.m. and will end Thursday, Feb. 17 at 6 p.m.
